The Government of Uttar Pradesh runs many plans for social development, economic growth and better education of minorities so that they could be uplifted into the main stream of society and for their strong participation in State Government Welfare Schemes. With the vision of empowering the Minorities, Minority Welfare & Waqf Department was established on 12 August, 1995 by the State Government.
